For members
For higher specialty trainees and consultants with a specialist interest.
IIMEA builds private communities for clinicians in a single sub-speciality. Each is led by the Founding Experts who teach and chair it, and joined by colleagues at your level from around the world.
What a community is
Each community brings together validated clinicians in a single sub-speciality, working at tertiary and quaternary level.
It supports its members between annual meetings and guideline updates, with new content each week, chaired or delivered by Founding Experts. It sits alongside the societies and training structures you already belong to.
Membership
Who leads each community
Each community is led by up to ten Founding Experts. They include professors in the sub-speciality, members of national and international guideline groups, and consultants with a passion for education.
They teach the courses, chair the live sessions, and decide what their community covers and which formats work best for it.
Members
Members are higher specialty trainees with a specialist interest, consultants, attendings, associate specialists, and MD and PhD candidates. Every member's credentials are validated before they join.
Membership is a paid subscription, taken out individually or through your institution.
For trainees
The questions that decide a career, from mentors to papers to fellowships, are rarely answered in training. IIMEA puts you in the same room as the senior clinicians in your chosen speciality, most weeks of the year.
Now forming
We are currently building the platform and recruiting our founding faculty.
If you would like to hear when The Pleural Community opens, or when a community opens in your own sub-speciality, write to us and we will let you know.
If you are a senior clinician in your sub-speciality, the home page explains how to become a Founding Expert.
